Easy game to pick up, hard to put down
The challenge
Qwirkers is a mobile game based on the famous tile game by MindWare, Qwirkle. The game is easy to pick up and thoroughly addictive; however, the more you play, the more your tactical maneuvers will help you win the game. The gameplay isn’t everything, so we had to add more. The main goal was to find a way to keep users comfortable with familiar interactions and give them a reason to come back. And you know what? It was a success.
The main functions were moved to the lower area to make it easy to use with one hand.
There are two more options for those who want a different layout.
Not just another mobile game
As we mentioned, the gameplay wasn’t everything so we opted to give users the to choose custom avatars or create one from scratch.
Players can create a peep that is unique to them.
The game reflects a product that combines simplicity, uniqueness, and visual enjoyment in interaction.
